Rastas, Bob Marley & Selassi I

1. The Rastas theme is "Rasta for I, hail Selassi I", but did you know that this religion is anti Christ? You probably didn't, I never thought of it either until the Lord opened my eyes with this question. Why do they never mention the name JESUS? They will say Jah, but never the name Jesus. The reason they don't use the name Jesus is, because they must leave that space for their Christ Selassi I. That is why they say Rasta for I, because Selassi I is better known as Ras Tafari. When reading from the Bible they read mostly the Old Testament and leave out the blessed New testament of the Lord Jesus. This is why we know that Rasta religion is anti Christ. The devil has put Selassi in the place of Jesus for them. What a deception! Satan has forbidden them to confess that Jesus is Christ, and has come in the flesh one time already and has not, and will not come in the flesh the second time in the form of Selassi I, but will come as Lord of Lords and king of kings and judge of this world. Just as some of the Jews, they cannot believe after 2000 years that Christ came in the form of sinful flesh, and mortal man. But I say, that they nor Rasta’s know not what spirit they are of.

2. 1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: Satan have blinded Rasta minds that they should not believe that their names should not be written in the Lamb’s book of Life. John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Again Jah spoke from the clouds and said in Matthew 17:5-6 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. John help us understand what the Father ment when he said "hear ye him" found in 1John 3:23-24 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. So Jah has commanded us to Jesus Christ his son to obey Jesus Christ commandment which is of the Father.
1Cor.12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. So if you thought that becoming a Rassta was Just smoking ganja, tangled long hair, and wearing tams with a limp walk, and worshipping Selassi I you will find your self fighting against God, which is a losing battle.

3. Most of the Rasta members know very little about Selassi 1st, so they depend on the inspiration of Bob Marley's songs to pave their path for redemption. Did you ever hear Bob Marley mention the name Jesus in his songs? I heard him one time, but not admitting him as Lord. It is clear that they substitute Selassi for Jesus. Then is Selassi the redeemer for Rastas? If he is their redeemer then where is the sacrifice to God or the ransom price he paid to redeem them from their sins that they have committed? Have you ever seen any one that follow Bob Marley's songs live a holy life? I have never, neither have I heard Rasta’s testify that they have repented of their sins. Is it because Selassi I have made no provision for sin for them? The lives of all Rastas that I have seen are involved in one of following; crime, adultery, fornication, abusing themselves with drugs, strife, ungodliness and wickedness. At their meetings their members are drunk with their ritual (Ganja) into believing in Salassi. Is there any redemption in Selassi I or Bob Marley? Have they paid any price to redeem you? How do they then try to get to God or Heaven some other way except by Jesus Christ? John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

4. Notes from an encyclopaedia says, {rah,stuh,far',ee,uhnz} Rastafarians are members of a Jamaican messianic movement dating back to the 1930s. According to Rastafarian belief the only true God is the late Ethiopian emperor HAILE SELASSIE (originally known as Ras Tafari), and Ethiopia is the true Zion. Rastafarians claim that white Christian preachers and missionaries have perverted the Scriptures to conceal the fact that Adam and Jesus were black. Their rituals include the use of marijuana and the chanting of revivalist hymns. REGGAE music is the popular music of the movement. The Rastafarians, who stress black separatism, have exercised some political influence in Jamaica.

5. Of course Satan would have to make up some lie to deceive and blind the eyes of poor people, for he is a liar from the beginning. Arguments of skin colour, repatriation to Ethiopia and the looks of long tangled hair would attract some lost soul to this hell trap, who wants some identity for themselves. So what if Jesus was neither black nor white would that make a difference? John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. The claim that Ethiopia is the true Zion is not so easy for some to except when people know that this earth is going to be burn up and melt with fervent heat 2 Peter 3:10, and before this the people of God shall be change and rise from this earth and meet the Lord in the air 1Thes.4:17 Then there will be no more Ethiopia neither Rastas, but eternity.

6. I wonder if Rasta’s ever read in their Bibles Acts 4:10,12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now you can see why Satan don't want them to have nothing to do with the name Jesus. It’s the only name under heaven whereby we can be saved. Jesus told the Pharisees in John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. If Bob Marley died believing in Selassi as the Christ instead of Jesus he has died deceived, and in his sins.

7. My sinner reader you must believe that Jesus has come already and, there's no need to look for another to come again in the form of sinful flesh. Jesus now has a heavenly body which was changed on the day God raised him from the dead, from earthly to heavenly, and when he returns he will return with that heavenly body. You see, if you believe in another Christ, you don't really believe in the first. For he didn't teach anything about he would come again in the form of earthly flesh, but to Judge the world. Selassi is dead and has not risen, but Jesus died and rose again. He was alive during Selassi's life, he was alive after Selassi's life and, is alive forever more. Many people met Selassi when he came to Jamaica, but the Bible say, we shall meet the Lord in the air and in the cloud. 1Thessalonians 4:14&17 tell us this, For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord. That we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel, with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. So Christ will not be met in Jamaica or Ethiopia, which is hopeless and unbiblical.

8. Why do they believe that Jesus will return as a man and die again? The Bible teaches he died for all once, and is alive forevermore, never to die again Rev.1:18. Praise God. Jesus has not yet come the second time in the name of Selassi I or in the name of any other man, but we believe that he is coming soon in the name of God. Think about this, 1Pt. 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Don’t play a fool with your soul. The Rasta's also teach that you should not look for anything in the life to come instead look for it only in this life. The apostle Paul said concerning unbelief of the resurrection, If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. There is two places prepared for man my reader, so let no one deceive you. Heaven or Hell you're going and you'll soon know which you have chosen, and will know for ever and ever. The Lord Jesus commanded us not to be deceived because many false Christ would come in his name. MT 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. MT 24:24-26 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. Because of these words they hide mostly under the Old Testament, the glorious light of the New Testament being too bright for their eyes of darkness. Satan caused them to find fault with the translations of the New Testament as an excuse to avoid the light of it. They claim that Jesus was a black man, but they that did the translations changed that fact. What they don’t admit is that their Father the devil is full of darkness and can’t stand the light that is in Christ Jesus.

9. If we did a comparison between Jesus Christ and Selassi 1st, we would find some interesting facts. First the Old Testament prophesied many prophesies of Christ’s coming and of his life, but there is no Prophesies for Selassi 1st except prophesies of Christ forewarning us of false Christ to come. Secondly Jesus had the witness of God speaking from heaven, and the works of God with miracles, but there is no witness of God to Selassi 1st only that he was traced to be a descendant of the tribe of Judah. Fourth, Jesus Christ the Lord admitted that he was the Christ the son of God, but Selassi 1st denied that he was a Christ when he came to Jamaica, but it was the people insisted that he was. So Selassi 1st is more righteous than them, because he made no false claim of being a Christ for he knew that if he was he would have the witness within himself. Rasta’s therefore serve a man made false Christ, one that the people made to be their Christ and not God, and one that rejected himself from being Christ for them. Fifth there is no evidence Selassi 1st rose from the dead after he died therefore he cannot make any intercession to God for them, their sins & iniquities remaining upon their souls. For there is no redeeming blood or sacrifice for sin offered by Selassi 1st for them, but while we were yet sinner Christ Jesus died for us Rom 5:8, and again HEB 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. God has now given Rasta’s up to worship the sun god, like the Pagan religion did, this is why they ware a pendent of the sun and its rays around it and a face on it, because they would not believe the truth. God has now sent them a strong delusion that they should believe a lie 2 THES 2:11.

10. For man to have long hair is another antichrist teaching, for Christ New testament teaches us in 1Cor.11:14-15 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. So if they want to please Jesus they must keep his commandments. If you are a Rasta you need to repent confess it to God, and ask him to help you reprogram your mind to believe that Jesus is Lord, and there's no other. Call upon the name of Jesus, and God will save you. You were not the only one that doubted. John the Baptist also asked, if he should look for another, not knowing all the miracles of Jesus, but you know them. It is the devil's will that you be deceived, but God's will that you believe and be saved in Christ Jesus our Lord who loves you and died for you, to be saved from your sins. Let him be your King of Kings & Lord of Lords Amen
